Freewriting Assignment 16. 7-25-12
Topic: Birthdays. Are they big?
It's funny how this subject is. Depending on the age group you ask is the depending answer that you get. If you ask somebody who is young, and without a job, they love them! They see it as an excuse to have free gifts and great food. If you ask somebody who is of the older generation, they do not care as much, in fact, they would typically prefer it to stall. These in between ages can be different. I have a birthday coming up, and a lot of people think it's a big deal. They want to do things, go somewhere, etc. I would prefer it to not exist. I am not a very old person at the age of twenty four, but I just think how quickly this year has gone by for me and I know this will just lead into more, and more birthdays. I plan on going Sky Diving and a dinner with my girlfriend, but that is it. Those are the only two things I feel I need. My roommate, however, likes to party when it's his. We would typically go to a Casino, rent a room, and invite a bunch of people. I suppose I'm more simple and easier to please than that. We all have our different things.
